For more than three decades, Cabano Marine has been building its reputation as a trusted leader in the boating industry. What began as a single dealership in Témiscouata has grown into a family-driven success story with three thriving locations across Quebec and New Brunswick.

From Témiscouata to a Family Legacy

The story begins in 1992, when entrepreneur Pierre Lagacé purchased Cabano Marine. Already well known locally, the dealership soon took a bold new direction under his leadership. By 1994, he had quadrupled the size of the facilities, adding a repair garage, a custom canvas workshop, and an indoor showroom that welcomed customers year-round.

In 1997, Pierre’s sons, Martin and Robert, officially joined the business. Their drive and enthusiasm brought new momentum, and Cabano Marine quickly gained recognition at boat shows across Quebec and New Brunswick. By 2009, the brothers were fully at the helm, guiding the company with an eye on expansion.

A major milestone came in 2011 with the acquisition of Dubé et Frères. This move gave Cabano Marine a 40,000 sq. ft. showroom—the largest in Eastern Quebec—showcasing over 100 new and pre-owned boats.

Expanding Into the Maritimes: Tracadie, NB

The next chapter came in 2014, when Cabano Marine opened a branch in Tracadie, New Brunswick. This location quickly became a hub for boating enthusiasts in the Maritimes. With its dynamic team, Tracadie reflects the same values of passion and customer dedication that drive the entire company.

In 2019, Alexandre Godin joined forces with Martin Lagacé to take the business forward. With his expertise in technology and an innovative outlook, Alexandre has infused the company with fresh energy, focusing on collaboration and strong partnerships.

Strengthening Presence in Quebec City: BLyacht Acquisition

In 2020, Cabano Marine reached another turning point by acquiring BLyacht on Champlain Boulevard in Quebec City. This expansion not only broadened the company’s reach to new regions—including Quebec City, the Beauce, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Côte-Nord, and Mauricie—but also enhanced the customer experience with modern facilities. The Quebec City site boasts a spacious showroom for 15 boats, a large accessories and parts store, and a cutting-edge mechanical workshop.
